School Age Programs

Overview

Susanna Wesley’s School Age Program aims to provide everyone with a safe and secure environment. We offer a stimulating atmosphere where elementary-age people can grow socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually through developmentally age-appropriate practices. We recognize that children learn through play, and we strive to create a climate that will encourage exploration, experimentation, and creativity. We give special attention to fostering a positive self-concept in each camper through creative and structured learning opportunities. We offer a Before and After School Program during the school year and a Summer Camp.

Next Generation Program Director Becca Nyman leads a staff team certified in CPR, First Aid, and Safe Gatherings. The School Age Program is licensed through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Please contact raeanne@swumc.org for questions and more information about our School Age Program.

Join us for ten weeks of fun at Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church this Summer! We are excited to host the School Age Summer Camp from June 3rd to August 9th, designed especially for student who have completed Kindergarten through 6th grade children. The camp runs all weekly, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The cost is $185 for the entire week and will be billed through Brightwheel and any meal fees.

This camp offers diverse activities, from arts and crafts to interactive group games, providing a perfect blend of fun, learning, and creativity in a safe and welcoming environment. We will go on two field trips a week, one to the pool. It’s an excellent opportunity for kids to meet new friends, discover new interests, and enjoy a memorable summer.
